MKA Students Recognized for Achievement on AP Exams
Mary Labowsky, MKA class of 2009 and a current freshman at Yale University was recently named a National AP Scholar for earning an average grade of 4 or higher in eight or more AP exams.
Thirty-seven other students from the classes of 2009 and 2010 were also among the 18% of nearly 1.7 million students worldwide who performed at a sufficiently high level to also earn an AP Scholar Award.
The following 13 students from the class of 2009 were named AP Scholars with Distinction, earning an average grade of at least 3.5 and grades of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams: Alyse Amato, Kristy Ashmawy, Nathalie Cernasov, Katherine Davis, Catherine DeKeizer, Kelly Froelich, Mary Labowsky, John Meyer, Giri Nathan, Emma Shepard, Olivia Shepard, Christopher Stavitsky and Ryan Tumelty.
The following 7 students from the classes of 2009 and 2010 were named AP Scholars with Honors, earning an average grade of at least 3.25 and grades of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams. From the class of 2009: Madeline Frank, Miriam Grossman, Michael Lewis, Andrew Stern, Rachel Weller and Melissa Wong. From the class of 2010: Laura Polding.
The following 18 students from the classes of 2009 and 2010 were named AP Scholars, earning an average grade of 3 on three or more of these exams. From the class of 2009: Elizabeth Ahlborn, Paige Barrett, Michael D'Andrea, Danielle Donatiello, Jenny Wade Glusman, Colin Humphreys, Guy Kozak, Gokul Krish, Philip Reisen and Miranda Saylor. From the class of 2010: Kevin Clark, Christina Gonsalves, Rose Koven, Sarah Moses, Marion Nammack, Jesse Schwimmer, Alexa Semonche and Erin Spain.
