MKA's 2012 Spring Movie Reaps Awards
The final tally is in, and MKA’s 2012 Spring Movie Alone garnered an impressive total of eleven professional awards. Alone was the tenth original movie to be produced by the Upper School and was written and directed by F&PA faculty member J.C. Svec, co-produced by two seniors and featured a student cast and crew. The success of Alone brings the total number of awards received for MKA films to over eighty.
Alone received the following: a 2012 Davey Award (Low Budget Video), a 2012 Videographer Award of Distinction (Produced for a School) and an Honorable Mention (Video Productions/Writing), a 2012 MarCom Gold Award (Writing /Video Script) and an Honorable Mention (Low Budget/Produced by a School), two 2013 AVA Gold Awards for Writing and for Editing, two 2013 Hermes Gold Awards for Video Script and for Video/Entertainment and two 2013 Communicator Silver Awards of Distinction for Writing/Video Script and Video/Entertainment.
