MKA's 8th Grade Class Graduates!
It was an exciting day at MKA's Middle School campus on June 8th, 2018 as the class of 2022 graduated from eighth grade. President of the Student Body, Ava DiLorenzo and Vice President of the Student Body, Trrusha Jariwalla shared many memories, noted the hard work of students and teachers, and celebrated their classmates and the school. Ava said, "As I'm speeding through [our past years at the Middle School], listing things as I go, there are probably words that I've said a lot. Like memorable, unforgettable, fun. I think those words really display what these past years have been like for me and my peers." Trrusha stated, "The friendships I have made over the years I have been here are remarkable. I hope many of them will be life long. I love walking in the hallways and seeing students from all different grades interacting. It reminds me how special the MKA community really is."
Dr. Randy Kleinman, Head of Middle School said, "Many of you shared in your exit interviews about being able to speak your minds during class discussions [and] about the freedom to explore ideas openly and to express yourselves – even in disagreement with each other and your teachers. That quality – of independent thought that you learned to translate into meaningful action - was obvious to all of us in Middle School." Dr. Kleinman closed his thoughts by sharing that, "We – your teachers – thank you for sharing your time with us and for always challenging us to be at our best for you. I do have a final bit of advice from another great thinker to end this with – perfect advice, I think – for a class of bold thinkers like you. In the words of Dr. Seuss... "'Be who you are – and say what you feel – because those who mind don't matter – and those who matter don't mind.' Congratulations 8th Grade Class of 2018!"
