More Good News for MKA's F&PA Programs
On the heels of the recent successes for MKA's music program in various competitions, there was more good news for the school's Fine & Performing Arts program this week.
Congratulations go to MKA junior Skye Volmar who has received a full scholarship (the Balfour Foundation Scholarship) to attend the Rhode Island School of Design's competitive and prestigious 2014 Pre-College Art Studio Program this summer.
Congratulations also go to the MKA Spring Movie Frankie, which has received a Hermes Gold Award, presented for exceeding the high standard of the industry norm as determined by the Association of marketing & Communication Professionals (AMCP), in the Marketing Category for poster design. Frankie premeieres in Deetjen Theatre this Thursday, May 8 at 7:00 p.m.

And the work of some of MKA's most talented Upper School artists can be viewed at the senior AP14 Art Show in the Upper School Weiss Gallery from May 14-30. There will be a special reception with the 12 AP students on Tuesday, May 20 from 3:00 - 4:00 p.m.
