Nolan '07 Named to Scholar All-American Soccer First Team

03 January 2011

Congratulations to Peter Nolan MKA Class of '07 and Kenyon College Class of '11, who merited a spot on the 2010 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Scholar All-American First Team.

Nolan was among only 43 players nationwide to earn the distinction. His inclusion, together with that of a team-mate, on the College Division squad allowed Kenyon to join Williams College as the only Division III programs with multiple honorees.

Nolan, an economics major, headlined a defense that allowed only 12 goals in 20 games on the pitch while maintaining a 3.60 GPA in the classroom. Prior to becoming a Scholar All-American, Nolan was named to the All-Region and All-NCAC first teams, and the NCAC Defensive Player of the Year.

To become eligible for recognition as a Scholar All-American, Nolan was first selected to the NSCAA Scholar All-East Region first team. Kenyon had a 15-3-2 record, a No. 25 national ranking, and the program's first appearance in the NCAA Division III Tournament since the 1997 season.
