It is with great sadness that MKA marks the death of Ken Gibson, Montclair Academy and Montclair Kimberley Academy faculty member from 1966 to 2002. Ken was a beloved and respected teacher, coach and colleague who joined Montclair Academy as a science teacher and later taught in the History Department in which he served as Chair from the mid 1980's until 1997. Ken's late wife Nancy served as a faculty member at Brookside from 1975 to 1993 and their daughters Elizabeth and Heather graduated from MKA in 1982 and 1984 respectively. MKA will celebrate Ken's service to the School during Homecoming Weekend in October 2016. Headmaster Tom Nammack noted, "Ken's death touches all of those who have been a part of the school community in the past fifty years. Heartfelt tributes and remembrances are coming in from generations of students and colleagues. To his family, MKA sends its deepest appreciation for Ken's service to the school as well as our profound sympathy for the loss of a fine man, father and grandfather."
