Thanksgiving Comes to the MKA Primary School
The MKA Primary School enjoyed a festive Thanksgiving Share today, together with invited administrators and special guest Deanna London from the Montclair Human Needs Pantry.
Before starting their traditional turkey feast, the students heard the good use that the 60 bags of food they had collected in a food drive earlier in the week was being put to. Headmaster Tom Nammack formally thanked Parents' Association Campus VP Tina Jordan for all her hard work in organizing the event, favorite Thanksgiving memories were shared, Primary School Strings musicians played, and third graders provided additional entertainment by performing skits and playing their recorders.
"This is my favorite day in the school year!" Declared Primary School Head of Campus Ginger Kriegel. "It's the one time the whole Primary School community gathers around tables and enjoys sharing a formal meal together."
