The Parent Association of Montclair Kimberley Academy's (PAMKA) Third Grade Memory Book has received a national award for excellence by its publisher, Picaboo Yearbooks.
PAMKA's 2016 award winning Third Grade Memory Book was edited by Current MKA parent and Committee Chairperson Vincent Mogavero with the assistance of his husband, Robert Principe and Montclair Kimberley Academy parents, faculty and staff.
The PYB Hall of Fame recognizes the top 1% of yearbooks printed by the company. A panel of judges selected yearbooks that are well designed, feature outstanding photography and reflect a broad representation of each school's student body.
Picaboo Yearbooks established the PYB Hall of Fame to encourage the development of 21st-century skills that working in a yearbook staff can instill, such as creative thinking, communication, collaboration and technology literacy.
"While yearbooks are obviously the best, most long-lasting way to preserve memories, the actual creation of the yearbook helps students master project based learning skills," said Bill Miles, General Manager of Picaboo Yearbooks.
Design ideas from winning yearbooks are featured in Picaboo Yearbook's Yearbook Guidebook, a printed resource used in classrooms across North America.
