Theatre Season Opens at MKA

MKA's Fine and Performing Arts season kicks off with an Encore Weekend presentation of A Cordial Invitation, winner of the 2011 PlanetConnections Festivity Best Evening of ONE-ACTS.

Comprised of three one-act plays written and directed by Upper School F&PA faculty member J.C. Svec, A Cordial Invitation explores the events that get lost in the celebration of someone's special day. Let Today's the Day give you insight into the Groom's wedding day, join Jake … and Guest on their date at a wedding reception, and if you understand film romance, then Here’s Looking at You.

Cast members are seniors Nadia Brown, Indigo Brooks and Edward Rosini and junior Dana Placentra. The assistant director/stage manager is senior Mirsada Abdool Raman. Performances take place on Friday, September 23 and Saturday, September 24 at 8:00 p.m. in the Deetjen Theatre at the MKA Upper School campus. Tickets are $5.
