PAMKA FACULTY TRUST GRANT APPLICATION 2025-2026
The Parents’ Association of Montclair Kimberley Academy (PAMKA) supports and encourages the scholastic, intellectual, and professional enrichment of faculty and staff. The PAMKA Faculty Trust Program specifically recognizes the importance of intellectual pursuit and personal renewal outside a traditional academic setting. Over $650,000 has been awarded to MKA faculty members throughout the years, with gifts ranging from $1,600 to $9,600, and averaging approximately $5,000.

ELIGIBILITY
- Full-time faculty and staff with teaching responsibilities who have completed three years of service at the time of application are eligible.
- Past award recipients may not reapply earlier than five years from the date of their awarded proposal.
- While it is permissible to take someone on the trip with you, the award is designed to meet the expenses of the faculty member only.
CRITERIA FOR PROPOSALS
- Resulting experience must enhance your role as an educator at MKA.
- Proposal content should arise from academic and personal curiosity.
- Proposal content must demonstrate anticipated personal development from this experience.
PROPOSAL GUIDELINES
- Submissions will only be accepted online and applicant must confirm all checklist items are complete.
Applications can be submitted as a PDF, PowerPoint/Google Slides, or video. Feel free to be creative with your submission!
- Provide any supporting documentation, including suggested itinerary, background materials.
- Provide itemized budget to support amount requested.
- Faculty representatives are available to assist applicants with completing proposals when needed.
- Submit proposals via the appropriate form below by 8:00 A.M. on January 6, 2026.
- Grants must be used within twelve months of award notification.
- Recipients agree to discuss their experience with peers at a faculty meeting.
- Recipients must remain in the employ of MKA for the entire academic year following the use of the grant.
PAMKA FACULTY TRUST GRANT COMMITTEE
A Committee composed of five PAMKA representatives, the Head of School, the Assistant Head of School for Curriculum and Professional Development, and three faculty members will review each proposal and select award recipients mid-January.
