The Office of Communications and Marketing supports the school community by telling the stories of Montclair Kimberley Academy—its students, faculty, programs, and achievements—with alumni, students, parents, and the general public.

With every story we tell, every image we share, and every message we craft, we strive to bring MKA’s mission to life through cohesive, strategic marketing and advertising campaigns, internal newsletters, and external publications such as the Review magazine. Our team also oversees the school's public relations initiatives and manages the website and social media sites.

We believe that every member of our community is a steward of the MKA story; you are our most powerful advocates. Do you want to promote a school program or event, tell a story that enhances the school’s reputation, recruit top students, or meet fundraising goals?  Our office can help you fulfill these needs with branded marketing materials.

We will first identify your message and your audience and help you develop creative solutions that generate measurable results. We then help you determine the right medium – whether marketing brochures, social media networks, or print/electronic collateral – so that you can reach your audience efficiently and effectively.

Marketing Resources:

Sometimes a picture is the best way to tell a story. The Office of Communications and Marketing schedules professional-quality photo and video shoots to promote many of our school events. Our extensive photo galleries are go-to sources for dynamic images that support the MKA brand and message in print and electronic media. We also provide the news media and other external outlets with images for editorial use or display.

Our team produces a number of editorial publications, including the school's Review magazine. From insightful research articles to compelling human-interest features, we work to tell the story of MKA and all of the members of our community.

We are always looking for content to share on MKA social media channels and in the next issue of the Review magazine. From engaging classroom moments and professional accomplishments to field trips and community engagement projects, don't forget to share your content with us so we can showcase our amazing community.

Stay Connected:

Our website is a vital communications tool for the school, its image, and its identity. Our office provides a framework for the website's target audience, its key messages, and the use of best practices and standards to produce a unified and professional website. Each section of the website has been assigned a content manager who is responsible for the website pages related to their department and/or program. Through careful planning and design, attention to accessibility, reliability, and usability, the Communications team guides you through the construction and content management process of your pages.

Content managers are responsible for supplying, reviewing, and revising all of the content on their web pages. If you require edits to be made to our website, please fill out our Project Request Form.

From concept to print production, we are your creative resource for your marketing needs. We will work with you to plan and create the materials you need—from brochures to flyers, newsletters, and everything in between.

We work to promote MKA and the expertise and accomplishments of its faculty, staff, students, and alumni. We also serve as a go-to resource for the press on breaking and timely news stories and, in turn, work to generate interest among the media about MKA and the critical role the school plays in the private education arena and the town of Montclair. We also support members of the MKA community for media outreach and interview preparation.
