MKA Alumnus Stars in Broadway's Latest Smash Hit!

16 April 2015

Many congratulations to Brandon Uranowitz, MKA Class of '04, on his standout lead role in Christopher Wheeldon's critically acclaimed new Broadway adaptation of An American in Paris.

New York Times theater criticChristopher Isherwood describes the production of George Gershwin's classic as "rhapsodic" and Brandon's performance in the role of composer, pianist and narrator Adam Hochberg as "dryly funny." The production opened at the Palace Theater on April 12. Click here to read the full review.

A mainstay of MKA Upper School productions, Brandon went on to attend New York University's Tisch School of the Arts and was a 2014 Helen Hayes Nominee for Outstanding Lead Actor in his role as Arnold in Torch Song Trilogy. In a March 2015 feature in The Star Ledger, he credits MKA for his discovery of non-musical theater. Click here to read more.
