MKA Econ Students Launch "The Lloyd Road Journal"

23 March 2010

While the content of an Honors Economics class may not sound newsworthy to some, for MKA seniors Matt Palmisano and Remy Kartzman it provided the impetus to launch a publication devoted to the course.

As Matt explains, "A few Honors Economic students were interested in writing a newsletter/journal that could highlight some of the amazing things that we are doing with Mr. Tom Carroll, the new Honors Economics teacher at MKA.  This year, the class is less about mathematics and more about topical issues and macro/micro ideas.  Students are really getting to understand the economy and economics as a whole while learning why we are in today's current economic situation.  Mr. Carroll has been able to bring in many amazing speakers from the economic professional world, and we knew that we needed to share all of this with the MKA community.  So, Remy Kartzman and I are very excited to release this first issue of "The Lloyd Road Journal" and hope to bring economics to students, faculty, and families alike in a language that is easy and fun to understand and read."
