MKA Senior Named 2015 National Merit Scholar

Congratulations to MKA Senior, and long-time Montclair resident, Benjamin Rapsas who has been selected as the winner of the 2015 National Merit Scholarship.

From approximately 1.5 million students who entered the 2015 National Merit Scholarship Program, only about 16,000 were named Semifinalists. In order to advance in the competition and be considered for a Merit Scholarship award, a Semifinalist had to become a Finalist by fulfilling several requirements that included submitting a detailed scholarship application and presenting a record of very high academic performance. Only 8,000 National Merit Scholarships were chosen from a group of 15,000 distinguished finalists.

In receiving this prestigious award, Ben is recognized among the nation's most academically talented students.

Ben will be attending the Georgia Institute of Technology in the fall.
