VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Set a Charge Limit for Your Primary School Student

All students at the Primary School will be visiting the Book Fair to shop with their class during school hours. This form is the only way to guarantee that a limit will be placed on your child’s account.

Please do not email school faculty or staff regarding placing a limit on your child's charging privileges.

This limit does not include any purchases made during the Pajama Night, Book Fair: Evening Edition, or any other visits to the MKA Book Fair. It only applies to when students shop with their class during school hours. The deadline for this form is Saturday, November 1, at midnight.

Questions? Contact Catherine Weiss.

Tracey West is the author of the New York Times bestselling series Dragon Masters, for Scholastic Branches. She has written more than 400 books for children, including the Underdogs series, illustrated by Kyla May; the Dragon Hill series, illustrated by Carolina Vázquez, and the perennially popular Pokémon chapter books. She lives with her husband, adopted dogs, and chickens in the western Catskill mountains of New York State.

Aria Mia Loberti is an actor, writer, activist, and lifelong storyteller. In 2023, she made her acting debut as the lead in Netflix’s Golden Globe- and Emmy-nominated series All the Light We Cannot See. Her critically acclaimed performance launched a diverse, rich acting career. Before turning her focus to acting, Aria was pursuing a PhD from Penn State, studying ancient rhetoric. Aria received her undergraduate degrees in 2020 from the University of Rhode Island and her master’s degree in 2021 from Royal Holloway University of London, on a Fulbright Scholarship. In 2024, Aria also became a UNICEF Ambassador, advocating for climate change and education rights. From a young age, Aria read anything and everything she could get her hands on and has always dreamed of writing for young readers. She hopes her work can encourage kids to be the heroes of their own story and find magic all around them. Aria and Ingrid live in Rhode Island with their respective best friends, Molly and Etta.

Ingrid is the black Labrador retriever guide dog for author, actress and advocate Aria Mia Loberti.  Trained by Guide Dogs for the Blind, Ingrid has been with Aria since her sophomore year of college, assisting her with confidence and daily navigation.  The pair have worked together on a global scale, traveling for events like the Golden Globes, and their story is the basis for the children's book, I Am Ingrid.

PRE-ORDER VISITING AUTHOR BOOKS

Don’t miss the opportunity to secure signed copies of exclusive titles from our visiting authors. Use this order form to purchase books—whether for a student or as a special gift! All orders must be submitted by November 8.

Important notes:

  • For Primary School students: Pre-ordering is the ONLY way to receive an author-signed book. Students will not be allowed to get books signed on the day of the author visit without a completed form.
  • For Middle School students: Students may purchase books during the fair and have them signed by the authors. However, to guarantee a signed book, you will need to submit a pre-order form.
  • If you have children on multiple campuses, you may either:
    • Submit a separate form for each child, OR
    • Submit one combined order and indicate which homeroom/advisor you'd like the books delivered to.
  • For all book dedications, please limit to a first name or nickname. NO personal messages allowed. You can also indicate whether you prefer only the author’s signature. Personalized books are not refundable. All sales are final.
  • Faculty and staff may pre-order by entering your name in all applicable fields. Please be sure to indicate where you would like our order delivered.
  • Lastly, please remind your child of the books that were pre-ordered to prevent duplicate purchases.
